Teacher Talks: Bidisha

Aishwarya Reddy’s death has thrown devastating light on the digital divide between the two Indias, especially in the context of education. We, at Nirantar, have been profiling teachers across the country, and in Episode IV of Teacher Talks, we meet Bidisha from Birbhum district, West Bengal.

She tries and makes sense of the digital disparity between her rural students and the tales her urban teacher friends narrate, and makes two main declarations. “Maybe, mobile is the new bicycle for the rural education sector,” and more importantly, lest we forget, “You all should know, we are not fine.”
