Mann Ke Mukhaute Ep 1: Adiyal Dukh

Adiyal Dukh
As part of our Public Health issue, we are turning an inward eye to look at our mental experiences, and how they intersect with the health and state systems.  In an attempt to move away from pathological and clinical readings and move towards learning from lived experiences, our podcast series Mann Ke Mukhaute interweaves fictional stories and experiential voice notes.

We are locating our site of exploration in the mann – the Hindi word that brings together brain, mind and heart, and hints at an intuitive inner truth.

In our first episode, we address grief. As a mental and emotional experience that defined and transformed our lives in the past 18 months, this episode transliterates Ahana Chaudhuri’s Grief is a Stubborn Animal’* into Adiyal Dukh. The story is punctuated with people’s voices, people generous enough to share their experience of grief, and its coping, with all of us.
