Episode 01

Priyanka Dubey: A Crime Reporter’s Inner Life

The first episode features Priyanka Dubey, who talks to us about her journey of documenting violence and crime, her inner life and mental landscape after doing this job for the last 14 years, and how she carries grit and poetry to every scene of crime.

Born in Bhopal and currently based in Indore, Priyanka Dubey is a multimedia investigative reporter and author of No Nation For Women – Reportage on Rape from India, the World’s Largest Democracy published by Simon & Schuster. Priyanka’s investigative reporting on social justice and human rights has won multiple international and national recognitions.

10 years ago, F-Rating was created to help classify films which are written or directed by one or more female film-makers, or feature complex female characters who contribute significantly to the story. But what if ‘feminist’ is not a noun but an adjective? What if the feminist lens lends itself to all practices and not only film-making? Nirantar Radio brings to you ‘F-Rated Interviews’ where The Third Eye team speaks to different practitioners about their practice – but with a feminist lens.

New episode every fortnight.
